Totally agree with Ashish, I think besides innovation on providing maternity care at affordable prices, the fact that Anant is so passionate about customer service really adds tremendous value. (I've had a chance to meet Anant at a recent event in Hyderabad, and I can say his goals for customer service are simply great).

My personal experience with a well known children's hospital has been quite pathetic needless to say it cost much more then the Rs.1500/- we are talking about in this story.

I hope there comes a day when these (supposedly world-class) hospitals learn from LifeSprings a lesson or two about customer service!

I think companies need to learn from this and be as disruptive as the above example. No five star hospital cares about the same. All want your money and I do have examples where the son was dead and they didn't release the body .. demanding a few 100,000 from the father for keeping him under observation.
Finally he wanted to see the son first before any money could be sent into the hospital's account ..

Not only is it about innovation, it has more to do with the Human Values that India is known for .
