As Chair of Acumen Fund’s board, I couldn’t be more proud to announce that Jacqueline’s book launches TODAY! This book has been a genuine labor of love, and her clear, distinct voice can be heard on every page. Jacqueline started writing it in 1996 after the Rwandan genocide. The colorful, funny and painful stories mark her personal journey from arriving in Africa in 1986 and continue through the founding of Acumen Fund. Through the stories, we learn important lessons about building entrepreneurial solutions to poverty, about listening, and about creating a life of meaning.
