The secondary market is BOP folks to pick up the produce not sold towards the evening. Working with self help groups to divert the produce to slums is another way to ensure the produce is not wasted. The tone is frivolous and condescending .....iphone etc. A more insightful perspective would have been helpful, the author has rephrased the issue/problem in a school girl goes on an excursion style. As an entrepreneur whose company SmartOps provides SC Inventory solutions here in US and in Europe, it will be great to do something useful in India also. Nice article. It was a good scheme where both farmers and consumers benefit. Broadcasting the daily uzhavar sandhai prices everyday in radio and newspapers help bring down the prices outside the market too, while fetching a better price to the farmers.
